Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
McLane Classic Foods is a premier custom kettle products company based in Burleson, Texas. Specializing in custom product development, we produce a wide range of kettle cooked recipes for our national chain restaurant partners. Our capabilities include an array of kettle cooked food products including soups, sauces, side dishes and dips.
We have a great opportunity for a Industrial Maintenance Technician - 1st shift.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.70 per hour (Biweekly Pay Schedule)
Scheduled Hours: 5:00am - 5:30pm (Flexibility needed on some days to stay a little late)
Schedule: Work a 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off schedule (Wednesday - Saturday and Thursday - Saturday)
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining facility and equipment including but not limited to preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, repair, fabrication.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician needs to have advanced skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting along with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in accordance with electrical diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
The Maintenance Technician will be required to perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment such as: motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, filling systems, scaling systems, cooling systems, coding/printing systems. Maintenance Technician must be proficient in the use of all hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
The Maintenance Technician is required to document equipment repairs, communicate equipment related issues to superiors and other departments, perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, and follow all company policies including but not limited to GMPs, general safety practices, and food safety.

- Display a passion for the industry and exhibit a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, standing, working with heavy parts and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Additional responsibilities as instructed by Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
- Adhere to plant GMPs and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work on-call 24/7 as scheduled; work weekends and after hours as necessary due to emergencies or business needs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school or equivalent
- Training in electrical, mechanical, Refrigeration and/or HVAC
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with moderate levels of stress.
- Ability to interact well with co-workers, supervisors, guests, vendors, contractors and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
